Decentralized Finance has undergone a decade-long growth and one can now see a paradigm framework moving towards a new use-case: Onchain Derivatives. With new meme trends, bitcoin staking hypothesis, ERC-standards, L2s, L3s etc, the core framework which encompasses staking, swapping and lending is now becoming obsolete.

Onchain Derivatives have been around for some years. Yet, the current infrastructure for on-chain derivatives is struggling to keep up with the growing demand and increasing complexity in the DeFi space. As existing protocols remain deeply flawed, with rigid and opaque listing procedures, fragmented liquidity spreads across different chains, plagued by higher fees than centralized counterparty, definitely missing out on the intuitive user experience they were meant to deliver.
